The following products are extracted from orange juice. They have applications in the chemical and solvent product, aroma, fragrance, paint, resin and cosmetic industry, as well as applications in animal nutrition, among others.
D´limonene (Citric Terpene)
This is a fine, colorless oil with a light citric odor. It is extracted through the distillation of citric liqueur, which in turn is from crushing the moist residue (bagasse-skin and seeds) of the orange. It is used in solvents in paint and resin industries.
Cold Pressed Oil
This oil is obtained from citric fruit peels. It is used in food and pharmaceutical industries, giving flavor to beverages, ice creams ad other foods (cookies, breads). In the pharmaceutical industry, it is used in medications and cosmetics (soaps and perfumes). It is also applied in cleaning product industries.
Citric Meal (Bagasse)
This results from the treatment of all citric residue (solids and liquids) left over from juice extraction (peels, seeds and orange pulp) used as a complement to animal rations. It is not palletized, and is therefore in natura.
